Terming a separate quota for Muslims unsustainable, the Andhra Pradesh high court on Monday quashed the state government's decision to give reservations to the minority community.Under the Reservation in Favour of Socially and Educational Backward Classes of Muslims Act, passed on July 23, 2007, the Congress government had extended 4 per cent reservations in education and government jobs to the 15 backward groups of Muslims in Andhra Pradesh.

Two labourers were killed when an under-construction four-storied building collapsed in Narayanguda area of Hyderabad on Friday afternoon. As the building, which is located next to the Brilliant Grammar High School, came crashing down, ten labourers got stuck under its debris.The police, fire brigade and municipal corporation's emergency squad, along with the help of the local people, managed to rescue two labourers.
